TV host Cat Deeley has revealed that she went clothes shopping – while skiing down a mountain. The 34-year-old star was “halfway down the slopes” in the French Alps when she spotted a designer shop. She told a US magazine: “Once, I was halfway down the slopes in Courchevel, when I spotted a Valentino store. “I stopped and bought a delicious concoction of organza and pearls and had it shipped home.” She added: “Being my own stylist is quite fun!” The Birmingham-born star is currently hosting US TV show So You Think You Can Dance.

British TV presenter Cat Deeley says she would not rule out dating a man who was vertically challenged. The 5’9" star said she prefers to keep her options open and date men of every shape and size. "If you cut back to all the people who are over six foot you’re narrowing down your chance. I’m pretty much open to anybody," she told US chat show host Conan O’Brien. "I have dated men that are smaller than me, in that kind of Dustin Hoffman type of way. As long as they’re funny and they’re smart, who cares?" Deeley, 34, wore a pair of tight leather trousers for her appearance on Conan. When asked about her height, the Birmingham-born star said she was more than six foot tall in heels – and confessed she sometimes feels like a giant when hosting US talent show So You Think You Can Dance...

Lady Gaga continues the European promo trip in support of her new single “Edge of Glory” by performing on French TV show Le Grand Journal recently. For some reason, the princess of pop decided on doing a mermaid concept. I didn’t get it but I thought she looked hot in the latex dress once she stripped the mermaid costume off. And if you’re wondering when the music video for “Edge of Glory” is coming out, it’s going to debut tonight at 8PM during So You Think You Can Dance. So keep your eyes open for the Joseph Kahn-directed video to premiere during the reality TV dance show.

American Idol may not want Paula Abdul anymore but Dancing with the Stars does. ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson told reporters that he would love it if the former AI judge joined the dance show. He said last weekend ?We would love to have her on Dancing whether it’s as a contestant, or a participant, judge, etc.? Paula has also been offered a spot as a guest judge on the So You Think You Can Dance panel but DWTS has something a little more permanent in mind. Although ABC?s dance show already has 3 professionals at the judges? table already, Stephen claims that ?all possibilities are open? for Paula.

Katie Holmes’ much-speculated appearance on So You Think You Can Dance has been confirmed.

Producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe announced the actress will appear on stage for the 100th episode of the hit reality TV show that scours the US looking for the next best thing in dance talent.

Holmes will dance in a Tyce Diorio-choreographed tribute to Judy Garland on July 23.

Lythgoe revealed the news at the launch of the Dizzy Feet Foundation, which will provide scholarships for underprivileged dancers. Holmes is expected to donate her entire proceeds from the appearance to the foundation.

Holmes is in Australia to film a low-budget horror movie, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. Her husband Tom Cruise has accompanied her to Melbourne with their daughter Suri, 3.
