Salman Rushdie has an unlikely new love interest – a writer who confesses she is “addicted to male models”.

Rushdie, in a public war of words with ex Pia Glenn, brought stunning Min Lieskovsky as his date to the Norman Mailer Writers’ Colony Gala in New York.

But the Satanic Verses author seems an unlikely choice of date for Lieskovsky, a Chinese/Hungarian Harvard grad.

She recently wrote a confession of her ‘addiction’ to male models, a bracket that the 62-year-old Rushdie is far from fitting.

“I’m addicted to male models. I’ve dated six of the world’s top models, as ranked by Models.com, the so-called NASDAQ of modelling,” she bragged last year.

“The male model is well travelled, urbane, charming, conversant, open-minded, scheming, and self-promoting.”

And she also made it clear that her male model dates make it almost impossible for her to date a “normal” looking man.

“On civilian dates, I would occasionally run into an ex or a model I knew; and while handsome, my date would begin to seem unappealingly banal,” she admitted.
