Amanda Holden showed US television hosts she’s got a talent of her own… downing Guinness.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge brought along cameras from CBS’ Early Show as she did a tour of New York, including a breakfast of sorts at Tiffany’s and recreating Marilyn Monroe’s famous dress scene from The Seven-Year Itch.
She also revealed her husband bought her a Miss Piggy doll – he thought it looked like her.
Holden hit the streets of Manhattan wearing a dress and high heels – which she immediately recognised as a bad idea as she approached a subway grate.
“This is where I look like a stupid English person – wearing heels is not the most sensible footwear to wear around New York.”
She then improvised her own recreation of the iconic Marilyn Monroe scene by lifting her dress while standing next to the grate.
Holden then tried a bagel from a street vendor. Although she said it was “really good”, she was mocked by the show’s hosts for not going to a proper deli.
She was served some food and a drink while at Tiffany & Co to live up to the famous film name.
“It’s always been my dream to have breakfast at Tiffany’s,” she said.
As she sat in the sofa back in the show’s studios, the hosts said they were amazed at her drinking skills. “I’m used to drinking pints of Guinness,” she proudly told them.
