Mad Men star Christina Hendricks has adopted the figure-hugging Sixties style of clothing she has to wear in the hit show.
“I adore the incredibly tight clothing!” the actress said.
Such is her passion for the retro stylings of the series, the 35-year-old has even started incorporating some of her character’s look when she is off-camera.
“My own wardrobe has changed. I’ve streamlined a little bit and definitely learnt from Joan’s sleekness and tailoring,” Hendricks told British GQ.
The Emmy Award nominee went on to open up about how her life has changed since the series debuted in 2007.
“I’ve never quite felt like I fitted in. It’s as if I was invisible before Mad Men. Now people come up and say ‘God, I love the show, I’m so-and-so,’ and I’m like, ‘I know, I had dinner with you three years ago.’”
Hollywood actress Liv Tyler has admitted her rock star dad Steven Tyler gives her "great beauty advice".
Liv, 32, is the daughter of model Bebe Buell and Aerosmith star Steven Tyler, and she admitted her family have given her the most useful tips when it comes to beauty.
She said: "My mother and grandmother were models and took such good care of their skin that I couldn’t help but learn from them.
"I can’t go to bed without cleansing, toning and moisturising – no matter how late it is."
She added: "My dad is also full of great beauty advice, like wear your perfume in your belly button and on the soles of your feet so that it becomes part of you."
Penelope Cruz’s was forced to wear the red suit she wore to the premiere of her new movie Broken Embraces after her luggage containing her outfit was lost.
The 35-year-old actress was slated for her choice of outfit at the premiere as red is a fashion no-no while walking the red carpet.
However, it has now been claimed that she wore the outfit as she had stashed it in her carry-on and it was the only outfit she had because her luggage had been lost.
The film’s director Pedro Almodovar said: "I think someone took it. I think it was taken by someone with a fetish."
Harry Potter star Tom Felton has admitted he has to dye his hair blond every 10 days for the role of Draco Malfoy.
Tom, 21, is a natural brunette but admitted he has had to dye his hair regularly since he was 13 years old for the role.
He said: "[It's] not a pleasant experience. Now I understand what girls go through. I completely sympathise."
However, Tom admitted he has got used to his hair colour over the years and said he had "become oddly attached" to it.
He added: "It’s fun to be blond, and it’s almost difficult to remember how I used to look with my proper hair color."
Tom also revealed he has become the villain as fans are more interested in meeting Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint when they visit the set.
He said: "I get a lot of boos from kids around the world. When kids visit on set they’re all happy to meet Dan and Rupert. When I come out they have a blank face and don’t want to shake my hand… but I take that as a compliment."
A red-faced fashion designer revealed yesterday how he twice hung-up on Angelina Jolie because he was convinced it was a prank call.
Jolie had phoned Malcolm Harris to order three of his $225 One Dress frocks, knowing that some of the proceeds go to the UN’s refugee campaign.
But as soon the Hollywood actress gave Harris her name, he assumed it was a prank call – and hung up.
Jolie called back – and Harris hung-up on her again.
Determined, Jolie called a third time and managed to persuade Harris that she was the real deal by explaining she is participating in World Refugee Day this Saturday.
Harris was amazed at Jolie’s determination to get his dresses, adding: "I was so flattered."
The “voice of the century”, or whatever Kanye West called himself last year, recently admitted that he gets his inspiration in fashion from watching gay people. He had this to say: “Gays know how to dress but you got to peep at them really quick because if they see you looking at them they might think you’re looking at them in another way, so you have to keep looking away. If they catch you staring it’s like, ‘No dog, I’m looking at the gear! ‘People always try to discredit gays altogether but they really know how to dress. They dress good. Gays know how to dress. Because you can dress good don’t make you gay.” Look… dog, you can just go and talk to them about their clothes, you don’t just have to stare from a distance. A guy like Kanye West should realize that talking to gay people doesn’t make you gay either.

I’m very fortunate to be part of this wonderful collaboration.” 25% of the proceeds from the ‘Tattoo Heart Collection’ will benefit UNICEF.

If the deal with Miu Miu pushes through, Holmes will replace present Miu Miu face Vanessa Paradis who is also popularly known as the partner of Johnny Depp. Among those who have lent their faces and names to Miu Miu are Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst, Chloë Sevigny and Drew Barrymore. Holmes will be featured in Miu Miu’s 2009 spring campaign but she will not be alone in the photographs since real models will be posing with her as campaign accessories.
There are rumors that Holmes is planning her own clothing line. To fuel the fire she has already started wearing her own designs like the midnight blue dress she wore during the premiere of her movie “Tropic Thunder”. However, tongues are already wagging in disbelief about the wisdom of choosing Holmes as Miu Miu’s newest face considering her fashion bloopers. Jessica Simpson has just been tapped to do even more designing. The blonde bombshell just signed a multi-year contract with the Camuto Group and G-Ill to design, develop, manufacture and distribute a line of contemporary dresses under the Jessica Simpson label. The aspiring country singer commented on the deal saying “I’m extremely excited to be expanding into the dress market. I plan on creating beautiful dresses in distinctive fabrics and silhouettes that are reflective of my personal style and offer something special to the market place.” The dresses are set for a soft launch in Spring 2009 and will be completely out by Fall 2009.
Avril Lavigne promoted the launch of her new clothing line, the Abbey Dawn collection, at Kohl’s department store on Thursday in Alhambra, California. Abbey Dawn was actually a nickname from the Canadian singer’s dad. It was a street name that her father saw while working in Kingston, Ontario. How cute, she dedicated her line to her dad basically. Though if you know Avril’s ego, she would probably say that she just liked to use the name. The line includes hoodies and jeans with skull and zebra patterns which is similar to the artwork on Avril’s latest album ‘The Best Damn Thing’.
Lindsay Lohan will move to Europe if she has children. The 21-year-old actress is a fan of continental culture, and believes any one of the many countries would be ideal to raise a family.
She said: “I love the culture. It’s so diverse. If I lived in Europe, I’d definitely speak three languages, and I would definitely want to raise my children there too. When I talk with my really close friends, that’s what I always say.”

It’s the clash of the reality show titans as American Idol was infiltrated by Project Runway on Wednesday’s results show. Project Runway’s season 4 winner Christian Siriano actually designed the dress that American Idol season 2 alum Kimberley Locke wore when she performed on the show. Now if we could tap Christian to design a dress for Paula, moreover, re-design her whole wardrobe, so she could be stopped from looking like a hot tranny mess then all will be fine in the world of American Idol for me. I could also ask for Christian to do something about Simon’s wardrobe but we all know that’s hopeless.
Drew Barrymore showed up at SoHo House’s Grey Goose Pre-Oscar party Thursday night in a lovely black, red, and white dress by Gucci. She was looking cute and seemingly oblivious to her fashion mistake.
