Elton John’s name inspiration for son


The singer who recently became a very, very happy father together with husband David Furnish has apparently named his son after his favorite church. This is what Elton John related as to the origins of his son’s name: “Zachary is one of my favorite names. Our favorite church is in Venice where we have a home, San Zaccaria. It was John the Baptist’s father’s name. And John the Baptist was born three days before Jesus Christ. His birthday was anyway. And Jackson is a name I’ve always liked and David’s dad is called Jack. It’s an old English name that means son of Jack. It’s just going to be Zachary Jackson and then as he was born on Christmas Day and the song Levon says, ‘He was born a pauper to a pawn on Christmas Day,’ I chucked that in for a bit of rock star influence...

Christian Bale up for another Batman film

Hollywood star Christian Bale could have committed himself to playing Batman a bit longer than he originally thought. The British actor had signed up with director Christopher Nolan to play Batman for three films, but Bale says he wouldn’t mind doing another if Nolan wants to. Christian, who won best supporting actor for The Fighter at yesterday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, told Empire magazine: "All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one. "Well, I wouldn’t say definitely. If Chris goes, ‘Hey, I’ve got another story I think could be interesting,’ then yeah, great, I’d go do that.
