And no doubt that their upcoming release is going to be a monumental… surprise. You can very easily glean it from what Gwen Stefani relates about the recording process. This is a part of her very sweet words: “Hey Guys…thinking a lot about you! We are baking up one of the most delicious records…your ears will hardly be able to take it…it will be so pleasurable!” Well, if she says so… maybe the fans will take her word for it that No Doubt hasn’t gone rusty over the years. Still, an old saying once went that it is not wise to count one’s chickens before they are hatched.
Former Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson went wild in Las Vegas on her first weekend away from her five-month-old baby Hank.
The Hugh Hefner ex, who is married to NFL star Hank Baskett, got back on her famous stripper pole to teach a class some sexy moves.
During last night’s episode of her reality show, she sparked a series of whoops while bumping and grinding in a skin-tight pink vest with feather boa.
But she later admitted she desperately missed her adorable bub and just wanted to get home.
Meanwhile, her husband was away playing football in Philadelphia. Little Hank Jnr stayed at home with the nanny for the first time.
The 24-year-old recently hit the headlines when a sex tape she made at 18 was sold by an ex-boyfriend and made public.
Wilkinson has called the episode the “worst time of our lives”, although her husband is standing by her. She hopes her fans have the heart to “not press play”.
She is expected to address the scandal during the show’s season finale.
Diff’rent Strokes star Gary Coleman died today (Friday) after failing to come out of a coma. He was 42.
The diminutive actor had been rushed to hospital in Provo, Utah, on Wednesday after suffering what his family called "a serious medical problem" after falling at home and hitting his head.
He later fell into a coma and was on life support after suffering an intracranial haemorrhage.
He was pulled off life support Friday morning – the decision reportedly made by his wife Shannon Price – and passed away with loved ones at his side.
The distinctive actor, who lived in Santaquin, about 55 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah, had been through a troubling spell in his life, including a long string of health problems.
He has been battling kidney disease since his childhood – the disease hampering his growth to 4ft 8ins – and twice had kidney transplants in 1973 and 1984. He required daily dialysis in his everyday life.
He also had heart surgery last year and was hospitalized earlier this year having had a seizure on the set of The Insider.
He had struggled professionally – and hence financially – as he struggled to find work following the fame he had found in the 1980s. He later confessed he had twice tried to overdose on sleeping pills.
Matt Damon was saluted by best pal Ben Affleck and a host of celebrity friends as he picked up a prestigious American Cinematheque Award.
The Oscar-winning Bourne Identity hero, 39, was the butt of many a joke during the comedy evening, by movie greats such as George Clooney, Clint Eastwood and Robin Williams.
He withstood a barrage of jibes, although the glitzy annual event also featured a serious message of thanks for Damon’s hefty contribution to the film industry and his humanitarian work.
Former US President Bill Clinton also gave a recorded tribute.
At the end of the night, Damon’s own entertaining acceptance speech was cut short when he was jokingly shoved off stage by an actor with whom he had made a spoof movie trailer for the show.
“I think everyone who works in this industry feels lucky to do what they do,” said Damon.
“This is quite a night for me that they are giving me this honour. It is all about supporting the work that they do.”
Damon, a father-of-two whose wife Luciana looked on proudly, joked about his much talked about “bromance” with childhood buddy Affleck.
During his speech, he said: “To get the award from Ben, my ‘hetero-lifemate’, I can honestly say that next year at this time I think there’s a good chance that Ben will be here – presenting this award to someone else.”
Sir Paul McCartney is to receive an honour from President Barack Obama when he performs at the White House.
The former Beatles star will play there on June 2, and the performance will be shown across the US later in the year.
Obama and his wife Michelle will be hosting the show in the East Room, and McCartney will be given the third Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress.
The honour is given to those who have spent a lifetime songwriting, and last year it was given to Stevie Wonder.
The singer hinted that he might be given the honour during a recent webcast.
Former Dancing With The Stars contestant Shannen Doherty thought Nicole Scherzinger had an unfair advantage on the show.
Scherzinger, 31, was recently crowned the winner of the US dancing show, while Doherty, 39, went out in the second week.
Doherty said Scherzinger had an unfair advantage because of her dancing background in her group The Pussycat Dolls.
She said to E!: “Nicole’s an amazing dancer and singer. So it’s hard to compete with that.”
Asked if she thought the star had an edge over the other contestants, she said: “Yeah, you know… whatever. In the long run, it’s up to the fans. It’s a bit of a mixed bag over there.”

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has said he loves to watch his own show and added that he’s like a ‘drug’ to himself.
The 33-year-old actor plays the role of vampire Eric Northman in the HBO show alongside Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin.
He admitted that he has always enjoyed watching his own shows when they air on TV.
Skarsgard said to The Hollywood Reporter: “I do. I’m like a drug to myself. [Laughs] I did movies in Sweden before I came over here, and I would never watch dailies because I didn’t want to see myself in the character.
“But that obviously had to change (on a series) because I couldn’t wait seven years until the show’s over to go back and watch it. I still don’t watch the monitions, but when the season airs, I do watch it.”

A source told Star magazine: “The professor was so annoyed that James wasn’t paying attention, he told him to go wait outside the class. He didn’t care that James is a celebrity. James later said he felt like a kid.”

Michael Lohan has spoken out about his fears for his daughter Lindsay Lohan after a warrant was issued for her arrest for violating her probation.
The Mean Girls star, who is currently in France, missed a court appearance on Thursday in Los Angeles, having stated her passport had been stolen and she was unable to board a flight back to California.
“I’m fed up with her lies, I’m fed up with her denial,” Michael Lohan told RadarOnline.
On the prospect of his daughter being jailed, Lohan explained: “It is going to have a long-term effect on her and it isn’t going to be a good one … she’s famous, very vulnerable, very sensitive. She’s not suited for jail.”
Bail has been set for $100,000 which Michael Lohan has revealed he would post on the young actress’s behalf, commenting: “I’d do whatever I have to.
“She could’ve been back here. We had a jet waiting for Lindsay. We had everything waiting for her. She just ignored everything I said.
“I’m fed up with her now. To say her passport was stolen, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back … She’s gonna get the book thrown at her.”
Katherine Heigl says she’s a “normal girl” who sometimes makes mistakes and says “stupid things”.
The former Grey’s Anatomy actress who has been frequently criticised for being too outspoken says: “It’s time to re-evaluate and grow up.”
Heigl, who appears on the cover of US Harper’s Bazaar, says: “I spent so many years just saying what I felt without thinking about the ramifications, without understanding that I have this opinion but not everyone might share that opinion and now they don’t like me because of it.
“I was really raised with the idea that it’s important to be honest and to share your experiences, both disappointing and exhilarating.
“But sometimes I think the American public just wants to see my life as good fortune.
“They don’t want to know about the day-to-day. It ruins the fantasy. It’s lame to say that I’m a normal girl, but I think I am…”
Heigl says she’s taking a new approach to life. She says: “Now it’s time to re-evaluate and grow up. I hope by my mid-30s, I get to the point where I don’t doubt myself.
“I’m going to make mistakes and say stupid things but I won’t have to sit in a room in the dark and wonder: ‘Am I a bad person’?

This is at least what Dame Kiri Te Kanawa believes of Susan Boyle. The famous soprano apparently also sings “I Dreamed a Dream” and when she was asked about the Scottish singing sensation recently she had this to say: “Let’s get off that subject, move on. I’m doing something classical, not whizz-bang. Whizz-bang disappears. It goes ‘whizz’ and then ‘bang.’” Well, we all know that Simon Cowell isn’t exactly going for the artistic value in his minions, but still Susan Boyle is better than his usual batch… and if Dame Kiri Te Kanawa has noticed, Susan Boyle actually goes “bang” quite often.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, the 46-year-old actor said he did not follow in the footsteps of actor Errol Flynn, who wore tights for the role in the original 1938 movie.
Crowe told the UK newspaper: “I don’t wear tights [in the movie]. According to our research, they weren’t invented for another 300 years anyway. It just didn’t make sense.”
He added: “All that running through woods and brambles, you’d have to keep stopping to fix yet another ladder. But I do have a rather snazzy pair of leather pants and nice codpiece.”
