Sir Elton John spent his 63rd birthday in South Africa this weekend to visit an HIV awareness center and check in on the status of his donations from his AIDS foundation. The iconic singer has donated $15 million from his charity for AIDS awareness projects in South Africa. Elton also spent part of his day with his partner David Furnish and some youths at the Football for Hope Center, set up by the Grassroots Soccer charity. Elton said ?Soccer stars are the most powerful role models for young people today so it’s fantastic that organizations like Grassroots Soccer are harnessing that power to educate young people about HIV. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday.?

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian went on a Twitter rant earlier today about driving and texting laws in Florida, according to reports.
In the sunshine state, drivers can talk and text freely on their mobile phones. Kardashian, 29, who is currently in Miami Beach filming her sisters’ reality TV show Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, was so outraged after spotting a police officer apparently texting at the wheel that she snapped a photo and posted it with the caption: “A cop texting and driving in the car next to us! Actor Kiefer Sutherland has revealed that the September 11 terrorist attacks made him feel that he had “wasted” his life acting.
As Jack Bauer on US TV show 24 – which has recently been cancelled after eight seasons – the 43-year-old protects the US from terrorism.
But, in real life, he said the events of September 11 put his profession into perspective.

Dennis Hopper is so ill he won’t be able to answer his wife’s legal claims in court.
His lawyer this week filed court papers to state the Easy Rider star is terminally ill with prostate cancer and unable to undergo chemotherapy.
Access Hollywood reports Joseph Mannis stated Hopper, 73, cannot be deposed by lawyers on behalf of Victoria Duffy, 42, in the course of his divorce proceedings.
Hopper filed for divorce in January, seeking to end his 14-year marriage to Duffy, with whom he has a daughter, Galen Grier, who turns seven on Friday.
Duffy has countered with claims of abuse and bizarre behaviour on Hopper’s part.

The shamed golfer has been criticised for controlling his communications with the public in his only appearances since the November 27th car crash that led to his fall from grace.

Sandra Bullock’s marital status is now listed as separated from Jesse James on her IMDb profile page, but her rep says they never authorised that change.
An employee for the internet movie database told TMZ, in order to make such a change to a star’s profile, it must be approved internally by IMDb.
It is unknown who made the change, and Bullock’s rep told TMZ: ?This was never authorised by anyone related to her.?
Jesse James’ IMDb page shows that his marital status is unchanged.
