Angelina Jolie can count another Hollywood heart-throb among her biggest fans.

Besides partner Brad Pitt, co-star Johnny Depp is crowing about his work partner on The Tourist. Shooting on the new flick in Venice and Paris has been avidly watched.

Depp, who plays an Interpol agent to Jolie’s American tourist, says he is impressed by her talents, Bang Showbiz reports.

“She’s a nice woman. What she does she takes very seriously. I was really impressed by her and I’m thrilled to be working with her,” said Depp.

He also spoke of his upcoming appearance with real-life belle Vanessa Paradis in My American Lover. “It’s in preparation,” he said of the flick.

“It’s called My American Lover. Vanessa plays the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren, who is real macho,” he said.

Depp and the French Paradis have been together for about 12 years. They have two children, Lily Rose, 10, and Jack, seven.

Conan O’Brien has taken to Twitter for the first time.

The comedian who had a rocky departure from his late-night talk show on NBC posted his first tweet on Wednesday afternoon, Access Hollywood reported.

O’Brien’s first tweet twanged: “Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me.”

Twitter, it appears, was waiting for O’Brien: he had 45,000 followers by Wednesday evening.

O’Brien’s banter ran to his bio. “I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account.”

Scarlett Johansson has struck up an unlikely friendship with ageing rocker, Axl Rose.

The Hollywood beauty and the Guns N’ Roses frontman have been spotted partying around New York, according to US reports – even playing table tennis together!

“They were laughing the whole time,” a source said.

“They looked like they were having fun.”

Rose, 48, later turned up alone at celebrity hangout, Avenue.

An onlooker told the New York Post: “He swaggered in wearing jeans and an unbuttoned T-shirt, showing off his chest, and wearing lots of bracelets and rings.

“He had a pingpong paddle in his hand. He was in a good mood drinking vodka [and] even danced on the table for a while.”

According to the newspaper he and Scarlett Johansson, 25, have been seen hanging out three times in the past week – once until 3am.

Johansson’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, is in New Orleans filming new flick, Green Lantern.

Her rep was unavailable for comment.
