Tiger Woods’s rumoured golf comeback trashed by caddie
Tiger Woods’s caddie Steve Williams says rumours of an imminent comeback to golf by the megastar are hogwash.
Speculation about a return was rife after Woods’s reported release from a sex rehab clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Woods put his golf career on hold while he dealt with the repercussions of a mind-boggling infidelity scandal.
TMZ added to an Australian report that Woods he would return to golf. But it said the occasion would be the Tavistock Cup at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club near Orlando on March 22 and 23
“All that I will say is the story circulating out of a Melbourne newspaper has no fabric to it at all,”
said Williams at the Manawatu Saloon Championships in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
TMZ, however, said Woods would head to Georgia for the Masters after the Isleworth tourney and home to Windermere, Florida.
