Russell Crowe is headed for some serious dad time. The father of two, who spent much of last year in the UK filming for Robin Hood, quietly arrived in Sydney before Christmas from Pittsburgh, where he spent three months filming The Next Three Days.
He has been catching up with his sons Tennyson and Charlie during a muggy New Year, buying ice-creams and fulfilling other fatherly functions in the hip dockside neighbourhood of Woolloomooloo. The Crowes have a plush pad in the harbourside suburb.
A local retailer said: “Russell came into our store with his boys and their American nanny to buy some toys and you could tell he’s a really great dad.”
