Jonathan Ross blasts BBC’s Christmas schedule

The BBC’s highest-paid star Jonathan Ross has branded the broadcaster’s Christmas schedule “sh**e”.

Ross, who earns £6 million a year, joined in an internet attack by disgruntled viewers.

His rant began with a blast at his rivals as he tweeted on his Twitter page: “WTF is this thing on ITV? Zombie food?”

A Twitter user then wrote that he wouldn’t say the same about one of the Corporation’s programmes. And Ross tweeted back: “BBC has sh**e on occasionally fer sure.”

Ross, 48, apologised publicly for “juvenile and thoughtless remarks” he and Russell Brand made to actor Andrew Sachs last year on his fellow presenter’s Radio 2 show. He was suspended and Brand quit.
