David Tennant has three festive jobs lined up for this Christmas

Doctor Who star David Tennant has three festive jobs lined up for this Christmas as he will be seen playing Doctor Who, Hamlet and a quiz show host.

The 38-year-old actor will be playing the Doctor in a two-parter called The End Of Time on BBC1 this holiday season.

His final scenes as the time lord are said to be ‘one of the most spellbinding exits in Doctor Who history’.

The show’s creator, Russell T Davies, said: “Even the hard-hearted light rigger had something in his eye on set that day.”

Tennant will also be seen on BBC2 in a Royal Shakespeare Company adaptation of Hamlet.

Then he will be hosting the show Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
