Kirstie Alley dying to start new reality show

Kirstie Alley has revealed that she is “dying” to get on with her weight-loss reality TV show.

The former Cheers star has landed the show, which will document her battle with the bulge on the A&E channel.

“I’ve been dying to flat out do my programme, but really wanted to chronicle it and share that with you,” Alley tweeted on her Twitter blog.

“We’ll prove it can be fun and funny.”

The award-winning actress, 58, became a spokesperson for diet guru Jenny Craig in 2004 and, by 2006, had lost 75lbs.

But Alley struggled to keep the weight off and has steadily gained back the weight since parting ways with Craig in 2007.
