Jon Gosselin and Kate Plus Hate: Jon Gosselin says he despises estranged wife Kate
Reality TV star Jon Gosselin has revealed that he “despises” his estranged wife, who made him famous by having his eight children.
The Gosselins first found fame in reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, in which they allowed cameras to follow their daily lives with their twins and sextuplets.
But they have hit the headlines again in America due to their recent marriage troubles – and the fact that they keep publicly attacking one another.
Gosselin has insisted that he was bullied throughout his marriage – and has made it clear what he thinks of his ex, who he can no longer bear to sit next to on their sofa for the show’s famous questions and answers section.
“We film it separately,” Gosselin revealed. “She has her film crew. And I have my film crew. I can’t sit on the sofa with that woman…
“I despise [her] because she’s not speaking from the heart.”
Gosselin said that he believes his relationship with Kate is irretrievably over.
“Our relationship will never be fixed,” he said. “I think down the road we might be friends, but at this point in time, I don’t think so.”
In a statement, Kate responded: “While I certainly have a very different perception of how our marriage dissolved, for the sake of my children, I maintain that I’m not going to go into details of aspects I believe should remain private.”
