Scottish actor Dougray Scott has revealed he was approached to play the role of James Bond but the deal never came through.
Dougray, 43, has appeared in flicks such as Enigma, Mission Impossible 2 and Hitman and also had a part in US sitcom Desperate Housewives.
Talking about the role of James Bond, he said: “I was approached about it but it didn’t happen. It wasn’t my decision, so I can’t regret it. For me, [Sean] Connery was always the quintessential Bond.
“I’ve always loved that sharp Sixties style and the humour. Connery always did what he had to do, but he’d rather be nursing a drink with a girl on his arm.”
