BOURNE SAGA ANYONE?
The studio behind the Matt Damon-starring Bourne film franchise, Universal, has just secured the rights to anything and everything Jason Bourne and more!
Congrats! That’s a huge moneymaking deal!
According to Variety, in an overall deal with the estate of The Bourne Identity author, Robert Ludlum , the studio has exclusive rights to the Jason Bourne character and a ‘first look’ at other Ludlum novels.
This deal will help pave the way for many, many more installments of the Bourne saga and other Ludlum novels.
As we all know, the Bourne series was supposed to be a three-picture series but after the deal it has become Universal’s answer to James Bond.
It’s a good investment! The first three installments made more than $1 billion worldwide!
The fourth Bourne flick is expected to hit theaters in 2010.
