I have always thought that one of the greatest icons in the entertainment industry has not been rewarded in the way he actually deserved. And the person is Simon Cowell.

The music mogul Simon Cowell has lately been awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the National TV Awards in London on October 29, 2008.

The long time affiliated judge at American Idol was presented the award by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber during the ceremony which was held at the Royal Albert Hall.

The music celebrity Simon Cowell was a definite success at making a huge multi-million dollar fortune from the industry and now finally his work has been recognized with an award.

A rumor has been going around that Madonna has struck a deal with Guy Ritchie. According to The Sun, Guy will get a cool $60 million, in addition to a country estate and a London pub. Whatever pain Guy may be feeling over the divorce can certainly be buried in cash. Don’t even think of crying for Madonna though as I’m sure her $500 million fortune can take a $60 million cut. That settles the cash but what about the kids? It’s still unclear on how they will be dealing with custody. Madonna’s publicist has recently released a statement though saying “I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized.”

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are giving their romance another go. After ending their four-month relationship earlier this year, the 39-year old actress and the 30-year old musician dined at the romantic Il Mulino restaurant in Manhattan. An insider tells Star that John had been sending Jen emails about rekindling their romance saying “At first Jennifer was afraid to respond to John’s messages because she was afraid he’d break her heart again. A survey of 305 students at Washington State University found that celebrity initiatives, such as those led by Christina Aguilera, Beyonce Knowles, and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, with their go-out-there-and-vote attitude, actually compelled kids to well, do just that!
Hey, that’s good news! It’s refreshing to hear that these powerful celebrities can help us mold the future.
Headed by Erica Austin, the study looked at the effects of celebrities encouraging young people in 2004 and found that 44% of newly registered voters were ages 18 to 25.
This year, about 44 million people aged 18-29 are eligible to vote on November 4th. If more than 50% of those young voters actually hit the polls that would be the third largest young voter turn out since the voting age was lowered.

Ah, Madonna’s divorce: It’s publicity for everyone and anyone who can relate themselves with Madonna. This time around it’s Gwyneth Paltrow whose sharing the limelight as she tells Us Magazine all about being Madonna’s shoulder to cry on:
“You know, she’s a dear friend, and I’m supporting her in all [the] ways that I can,” Paltrow, 36, told Usmagazine.com at the Two Lovers Premiere in London Monday.
“I’m just here for her,” Paltrow added. “I’m just here on the other end of the phone, really.”
Paltrow says she’s been in constant contact with her pal.
“I speak to her a lot,” she said.
Am I the only one who sees through this outpouring of support? Can you really be supportive by picking up the phone and saying “God, what an asshole” for twenty minutes. Really now! You’re just milking it, Gwyneth, admit it.

The Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin was the super guest of her impersonator Tina Fey.

Governor Palin made the much-awaited appearance on the television’s popular show on October 18, 2008.

The show started with Tina Fey impersonating the Governor taking a press conference, while real Sarah Palin was talking to the special guest stars Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg backstage.

Alec Baldwin mocked to slip-up Palin for Fey and said, “You can’t let Tina go out there with that woman. She goes against everything we stand for - good lord, Lorne.”

Not remembering Sarah Palin’s nickname, Baldwin asked real Palin to remind him. “That would be Caribou Barbie,” Palin said.

Beyonce Talks Secret Wedding

Beyonce broke her long silence and finally talked about a couple of details about her secret wedding with Jay-Z in a recent interview with Essence. She said “What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.” She also said that she didn’t want an engagement ring because “people put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material and it’s just silly to me.” The wedding in New York was kept small and intimate because Beyonce says she is not a “traditional woman” and wanted to forego the drama. She said “It’s been my day so many days already. We’ve been together a long time. We always knew it would happen.”

Does Angelina Jolie want to make her own army to fight against the evils in the world?

The “Tomb Raider” hottie gave birth to twin babies a couple of months ago and she has already expressed her desire to adopt another child soon.

During an interview on the Today show at the NBC Studios in New York City, when asked about her future plans for adopting more children, she responded, “It depends. You can’t even start the process until any new children are six months old, to understand how the new family has settled to see what you could absorb into a new family.”

I am sure that after some years, Angelina Jolie and her loving hubby Brad Pitt would be able to produce their own movies with complete cast from their own home.

Her imitations were so good that Palin was forced to call them “a hoot.”

Palin also added, “I love her… she’s so talented.”

Since all the blogs and websites have been blaming the beautiful and stunning singer for the split up between the couple, here we have some thoughts on how “unsympathetic” her so-called “loving” hubby was.

Ryan Reynolds will run a marathon

There is no shortage of adventurous people in this world and the film industry has many such cool celebrities as well.

One of these super-hero-turned-actors, Jennifer Lopez participated in a triathlon some days back and now “Definitely, Maybe” star Ryan Reynolds has announced his intent to participate in the “New York City Marathon” on November 2.

While announcing his intent for the marathon for charity, Reynolds wrote, “I am not a runner. I am a running joke. Waking up at 4:30 a.m. and jogging anywhere from 11 to 23 miles has been nothing short of horrifying.”

Reynolds also expressed his concern over the tough race and the bleeding nipples, saying that he was astonished to see, “guys coming in to finish with bleeding nipples … People were crying. People were limping, hobbling, screaming, crawling. But most importantly, people were experiencing a sublime rapture that I couldn’t even hope to understand.”
