American Idol Can Be a Drag

After coming off of Rosie O’Donnell’s family cruise, American Idol castoff Danny Noriega spent last Sunday watching people lip synch in drag – and no, he wasn’t on scene at a Paula Abdul video. Danny was spotted at Oasis nightclub in Upland, California for their weekly Drag Idol contest and even posed with one of the fierce transsexual contestants. Despite being able to pass as a Jessica Alba impersonator, Danny did not enter the competition. Too bad, I bet he could have one especially if he performs all glammed up. Just don’t make him sing tainted love with purple hair extensions.

Kelly Osbourne on Celebrity Parenting

Kelly Osbourne recently spoke out about celebrities and how they raise their kids. I’m not sure if she’s the right person to talk about that considering she grew up around the so-called prince of darkness who was drunk all of the time. But anyway, Kelly says “I respect Gwyneth Paltrow because she covers her babies’ faces – she never lets the paparazzi get that picture. I’m not going to put the Spice Girls down, but they took their kids on stage at every single show of that last tour of theirs. To be a child of three and have 25,000 girls screaming at you – I don’t think that’s necessarily good.”

Project Runway American Idol

It’s the clash of the reality show titans as American Idol was infiltrated by Project Runway on Wednesday’s results show. Project Runway’s season 4 winner Christian Siriano actually designed the dress that American Idol season 2 alum Kimberley Locke wore when she performed on the show. Now if we could tap Christian to design a dress for Paula, moreover, re-design her whole wardrobe, so she could be stopped from looking like a hot tranny mess then all will be fine in the world of American Idol for me. I could also ask for Christian to do something about Simon’s wardrobe but we all know that’s hopeless.

Baby for Laila Ali and Husband

It’s baby time in the Ali-Conway family. Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali, is expecting her first child with husband Curtis Conway, who is a former NFL star.

Laila says, “I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created.” The couple was married last July in Marina del Rey at the Ritz-Carlton.

This will be Laila’s first child, but it will be number four for Curtis. He already has twin sons Kelton and Cameron, age 13, and daughter Leilani, age 9.

American Idol Birthdays

It was a pretty interesting night on American Idol on Tuesday. They finally moved away from The Beatles and moved on to singing songs from their birth year. While it was fun to see the baby pictures of the Idol wannabes, a good part of the show wasn’t so enjoyable as it was clear that they really didn’t know what was going on with the music in their birth year. Ramiele Malubay, Chikezie, Carly Smithson and David Archuleta clearly chose the wrong song. Jason Castro was pretty boring. Michael Johns and David Cook both pushed the envelope, Michael singing 2 songs and David making ‘Billie Jean’ rock. And surprisingly, Kristy Lee Cook actually sang great.

Britney’s Secretary look

Britney Spears is a woman of many moods. She has been a schoolgirl, an air hostess — and now she’s a flirty secretary.

It can only be a matter of time before she does a music video in a nurse’s outfit.

To her credit though, Britney’s guest appearance in the US on CBS show How I met Your Mother, got some rave reviews.

She played a sweet-natured receptionist with a crush on the main character, Ted, in the latest episode of the sitcom, which has just aired in America.

It’s good to see she’s back working again at least.

The troubled star was also spotted heading out to Hollywood’s Alleycat Recording studio, so there could be some new pop tunes on the way (time for that nurse’s costume?).

Lindsay Lohan and Best sex tape

Lindsay Lohan has let rip with a fully loaded attack at playboy Calum Best for a sex video that found its way onto the web.

Pals say that Lindsay made a series of abusive phone calls to George Best’s lothario son after a porn-style photo, said to be of the two of them, was posted on the Internet. The blurry clip is thought to have been filmed on Calum’s phone when they were an item last year and then forwarded on to one of his friends.

A source, who overheard the rant, said Lindsay was screaming: “I can’t believe you would ever f***ing do this to me, I should have listened to everyone. I should never have f***ing trusted you.”

Lindsay screeched down the blower for so long that she had to leave another voicemail to finish her abusive tirade. The Mean Girl continued: “It’s everywhere now, all over the net, everyone’s seen it, how f***ing could you?”

At least she’ll have something to talk to fellow party girl and sex tape star Paris Hilton about when they bump into each other next.

Mariah Carey’s Security

I don’t get Mariah Carey. What would she need a big burly security guard for when her best friend is quite known for beating people up with bottles in clubs? A completely glamorous Mariah, though I doubt she ever looked bad, went to party at Villa this past weekend and she was accompanied by a security guard and her more intimidating rapper gal pal Da Brat. I bet she could have ditched the security and she still wouldn’t have any problems about shooing people away much like she didn’t have trouble getting into the club. Villa bouncers aren’t that stupid of course.

Michelle Tried to Intervene for Heath Ledger

Michelle Williams is obviously a little uncomfortable with the paparazzi surrounding her and daughter Matilda, as Matilda plays outside.

It is being reported now that Michelle was working on a possible intervention for ex-fiance Heath Ledger before his death. At the time he died, Michelle realized that he was in “really, really bad shape” and she was working with other friends and family members to convince him that he needed to check in to rehab.

Celebrity Spawn Got no American Idol Love

To get some attention on you when at an American Idol taping, you have to be a contestant or considered a celebrity. Too bad for Rumer Willis, she isn’t considered as either one. Sources say that the 19-year old celebrity kid went unnoticed when she was at the show. Former ‘Saved by the Bell’ and ‘90210’ star Tiffani Thiessen and Idol wannabe Kristy Lee Cook got lots of autograph requests but Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ firstborn was unrecognized and left completely alone. Apparently, massacring a classic Beatles song is a better accomplishment than being born. Ouch. That has too hurt.

Hilary Clinton’s White House Whereabouts

Why she felt the need to share this with America, I just don’t know. But a report of her schedule as first lady has revealed that Hillary Clinton was in the White House at the time her husband President Bill Clinton and intern Monica Lewinsky were going at it in a bathroom.

It was reported by the Associated Press that she was actually nearby when this all went on. Poor woman. If she had just come when Bill called, the whole scandal would’ve never happened.

Britney Spears hots up TV Brit part

Britney Spears has landed a sexy bit part in a sitcom.

The singer, 26, plays a receptionist in US hit How I Met Your Mother.

She cheekily asks main character Ted: “Can’t we have sex and then go shopping?” The episode airs next Monday.

The cameo role comes just weeks after Brit ditched lover Adnan Ghalib.

The Brummie snapper, 35, two-timed the star for months — secretly romping with stunning model Amanda Pagel, 21. The brunette revealed how Adnan insisted he never slept with Britney, and claimed he just “felt sorry for her” because of her mental health.

Amanda — who was seduced by Adnan while Britney was in a psychiatric ward — said: “He told me he ‘pitied’ her and was the only one she trusted.”

Britney dumped Adnan after spotting Amanda’s racy texts on his phone.

Larry Birkhead Says Anna Gave Daniel Drugs

Tell us something we didn’t already assume. Larry Birkhead told a Bahamian court that Daniel Smith stole a bottle of methadone from his mother, Anna Nicole, approximately five months before his death. Larry also said that he saw Anna Nicole provide Daniel with Ecstasy pills.

The jury investing Daniel’s death on September 10, 2006, was told that there was some tension between ANS and Daniel in that past year. Anna was worried about Daniel’s drinking and his weight loss, according to Larry. He said Anna would prefer that Daniel do drugs in her presence instead of “running around experimenting with his friends.”

Shaz really is a Bourne stirrer

Sharon Osbourne isn’t shy of causing controversy. She has claimed that having cancer is an experience she would repeat if she could live her life all over again.

Sharon successfully beat colon cancer in 2002 – and the experience is obviously still on her mind. On holiday in Australia with the rest of the Osbourne clan, she told a radio station: “If I was to map out my next life and the highs and lows I was to encounter, I’d leave cancer on the list. It taught me so much about myself, others and the world.”

Brave words. But I’m sure they will leave a few people around the country scratching their heads – and may upset fellow sufferers not as lucky as Sharon.

In typical Sharon style, the conversation then turned to giving someone a good kicking – and Kiss legend Gene Simmons got the acid-tongue treatment. She said: “Gene’s a prat. He’s just a silly man in a silly wig. He’s a right prat. What more is there to say about him? He’s his own worst enemy by being in the public eye.”

Minnie Driver Acknowledges Pregnancy

So it’s been rumored for a while now, but Minnie Driver has finally admitted what the world already knew…..yep, she’s pregnant. She fessed up on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night.

Jay mentioned that Minnie was gaining a little weight. Minnie said, “Are you calling me fat?” He then asked if she was pregnant, and she said, “Yes I am.” Minnie says she loves being pregnant but could do without the morning sickness.

She also let Ellen pat the baby bump, on an episode set to air next Monday.

Britney Spears Has a Stalker

There have been reports online saying that Britney Spears has been receiving some threatening letters and packages that the fallen pop star has taken to the authorities. E! News is even reporting that things with the pop wreck have gotten so bad that they turned over the evidence to the LAPD and the FBI. Don’t believe everything you read or watch though because when the LAPD was asked for comments earlier this week, a spokesperson said they had no such reports of any threats. But then again, it’s SOP at the FBI to not comment on any ongoing investigation so there might be some truth behind the reports.

George Clooney nuts for joke operation

Smoothie George Clooney joked he has had cosmetic surgery to unwrinkle his testicles – perhaps he’s not just a smooth talker?

The Ocean’s Eleven star, 46, denied rumours of an op to remove lines around his eyes, sparked by a joke he made on TV.

But George added: “I did get my balls done, though. I got them unwrinkled. It’s the new thing in Hollywood — ball ironing.”

He also told Esquire magazine he would fancy pal Brad Pitt, 44, — if they were both lesbian women.

So, his child pool seems to be rapidly expanding, and Brad Pitt seems to be devoted to every single one of them. Photos often show Brad, Angelina, and the gang hanging out together. If they aren’t all in a group, you almost always see the kids with at least one parent.

But still, you can’t help but wonder if a parent has a favorite child. Brad says no! A source says, “I saw little Shiloh on set with Angie and I said, ‘She’s so beautiful!’ Brad tole me, ‘All my kids are beautiful.’”

Pink’s estranged husband Carey Hart: We can still be friends

Pink’s estranged husband Carey Hart says the singer will always be the “love of his life”. Despite announcing their impending divorce last month, motorcross rider Carey says the ‘Stupid Girls’ star still holds a special place in his heart.

He said: “Above and beyond everything, we are the best of friends and she is the love of my life. We talk all the time.”

Following the split, Pink begged fans not to treat Carey as a scapegoat for the breakdown of their marriage, insisting: “Carey is a good man, and our break-up is not about cheating, anger or fighting.”

Carey and Pink first met at the 2001 X Games. They split for a short period in 2003, but got back together and tied the knot in Costa Rica in January 2006.

Heath’s Family Respondsffamily

Heath Ledger’s uncles Mike and Haydn have taken it upon themselves to warn Michelle Williams of possible problems with the distribution of funds related to Matilda’s inheritance. This all comes from a previous fallout between them and Heath’s father Kim back in 1994 when their grandfather’s estate was settled.

Kim’s response? “It is sad at this extremely difficult time in our lives, while we are grieving the loss of our beloved son, that estranged family members publicly discuss matters they have not been privy to in the past or now. We hope for Matilda’s sake they will remain dignified.”

Baby boom! Lisa Marie Presley

Congratulations to Lisa Marie Presley who is expecting a baby with husband Michael Lockwood.

The 40-year-old star, daughter of late music legend Elvis Presley, is due to give birth to her third child this autumn. Her representative said: “They are incredibly overjoyed.”

Lisa Marie first sparked pregnancy rumours last weekend when she was pictured looking much heavier than usual.

The singer has an 18-year-old daughter Danielle and son Benjamin, 15, from her first marriage to musician Danny Keogh, which ended in 1994. She wed pop superstar Michael Jackson the same year but the pair divorced within 18 months citing “irreconcilable differences”.

Lisa Marie then had a third marriage to Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage in 2002, which lasted just three months.

She is currently working on her yet-to-be titled third album, due out later this year.

Cancer News for Patrick Swayze

There may not be much dirty dancing for him anytime soon. Reports have surfaced and been confirmed that Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer and may only have a matter of weeks to live.

His rep released this statement, “Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnozed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick’s physician Dr. George Fisher states, ‘Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appareas to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerabley more optimistic.’ Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

Posh shops as Becks stops

Posh is minding the purse strings while Becks does the day job.

Mum Victoria was snapped in budget store Target in Hollywood, where she’d taken the kids shopping.

Meanwhile, Becks was out bringing home the bacon, or rather crispy duck, on tour with his LA Galaxy side in Shanghai. The midfield ace was in China for a few days on a preseason tour.

He even took a shift between the sticks during a training session with Chinese nippers. He’s within touching distance of 100 caps for England, but it could be a bit late to try his hand in goal.

Britney Spears in court battle

Troubled Britney Spears is set for a court showdown with her parents as she tries to wrestle back control of her life. The singer, 26, will be the star witness in a battle to overturn a restraining order taken out by her family against her former manager Sam Lutfi.

Britney will be asked to give evidence against dad Jamie and mum Lynne, who currently have control of her assets after her recent breakdown.

Lutfi, 33, has been banned from going within 250 yards of Britney after her parents accused him of drugging her with prescription pills and cutting her phone lines. But he wants to clear his name and has secretly contacted the star via a third party to ask for her support.

Lutfi told a pal: “I am going to call Britney to the stand so she can tell the world how I was helping her. I am innocent. I am Britney’s friend and would never hurt her.”

Lutfi is said to be preparing a dossier for the hearing at LA Superior Court on March 17 in which he’ll claim Britney had access to drugs from other visitors and fears her life is being taken over.

The star was discharged from a psychiatric ward last month and is believed to be back at home in LA.

She reckons she can now run her own life. A source told us: “Britney feels fit enough to make her own decisions but is overruled by her father. She is fighting to get control.”

Last night Lutfi’s spokesman Michael Sands said: “Sam is a good guy who does not agree with this restraining order. He will fight it all the way.”

Gemma Ward Speaks Out About Heath Ledger

We haven’t heard much from the lady who was dating Heath Ledger at the time of his tragic death. Now, she is finally speaking out.

Gemma Ward is an Australian model. She was recently interviewed by The Sydney Moring Herald. She gives Heath a lot of credit for helping her learn about the industry and for helping her find her acting talents. She says, “He aerated from the heart. He really, really knew that if he was going to make a decision to be in a film, then he needed to be really committed to it.”

She says she learned a very important lesson from Heath, “He wasn’t afraid to fight with people, he wasn’t afraid to piss people off. He told me to always be a punk and stand up for yourself.”

Madonna Cover Wars

It looks like Madonna has the big media players in a tizzy. Madonna recently spent Oscar weekend shooting the cover for an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair. Now, sources are saying that the Queen of Pop also shot another cover just this past week for a competing magazine for an issue which is to come out the same month of April/May. A source said that “Madonna did the cover of Elle on Tuesday. The shoot is equally hot and racy as anything else she did.” It looks like there will be a cover war going on – and the same face will be on either one!
