The house of Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has burned down. Confused? Me too. Reports came out that his house burned down but then radio reports and a statement from his manager say that it didn’t and now it’s down to ashes again.Here’s the case: Flea owns two homes in California and one of them did burn down. The one that did burn down is a French country-style home that he rents out and was actually on sale for $4.8 million. The home that didn’t burn is Flea’s current Malibu home worth $10 million.

53 homes have already been destroyed in the most recent Malibu fire and 5,900 acres have burned which has caused $100 million in damages.

Britney protects her sons from press

Britney Spears want to get the custody case over with, thinking it would be better both for the two parts involved and for their two little sons to stop reviewing custody details, as there could be found harmful in formations given by both sides that will most surely leak to press sources over time.

Britney and her ex husband are trying to work on an off court visiting and custody hours, or at least she is hoping they will succeed to do it without legal help.

She’s right when she thinks that the NY court system is a slow birocratic machine that will give the press enough time to find out juicy details about her marriage, but because the two kids are still young and surely won’t understand or remember any attention they might get now from the press, I think her decision of keeping matters off court is fueled by a sudden fear of losing custody. Her wild behavior when she became a young mother and during her second pregnancy might affect her parental right if the court is left alone to deliberate its decision.

Adam Sandler’s set endangers stuntmen

One stuntman had serious burns on his hands and legs and the other burned his back while filming a movie, according to LA County Fire Inspector .The two stuntmen had to be hospitalized as a result of the wounds.
The one that presented burns on his back was in a serious condition, but he was stable. The fire department is dazzled to find burned victims but no fire or at least a fire report. Therefore, they are still investigating the case.

Insidious bugs and Queen Elizabeth

Rumor says that Indian film maker that directed the latest Elisabeth movie is already working on another project. Far from the last he completed, his new movie will be based on a tale emerging from city subterranean freeways – the cockroach world.

Shekhar Kapur is hoping that his animated future project will be an even greater hit than the Oscar nominated Elizabeth. He is pretty reluctant in divulging any details about the storyline, fearing apparently someone will come to copy his idea and use it themselves. But digging deeper you will find out that Kapur is aiming to present a world dominated by the menacing cockroaches, a world in witch the insects we try to exterminate every day are the only species still standing on planet earth.

“Shrek the Halls” with Cameron Diaz

Shrek fans will have the chance to see a holiday in the swamp. The star of the trilogy which bears his name is going to reprise his role in a Christmas special, set to air Wednesday on ABC.

Reuniting for the sure-to-be holiday hit are Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, who provide the voices for Princess Fiona and Shrek, respectively. Diaz is hopeful that the first Christmas that the green ogre spend with family and friends will become a tradition for families everywhere.

She says, “It’s just wonderful to see how they celebrate their Christmas and what it means to them. And the humor is there and the beauty is there and the message is there.”

The story unfolds as Shrek tries to make the holidays perfect for Fiona and their three children. However, he is interrupted by some uninvited guests, including the ever present Donkey and Puss in Boots. Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas are back to voice those well-loved characters.

Despite Shrek’s descent into Scrooge-like behavior, he eventually realizes what Christmas is all about. Diaz says, “He’s grown so much…it’s kinda great to see where he’s at now that he has a family and he’s experiencing life with other people for the first time…you know, investing in them.”

Sounds like a fairy tale life….

Winehouse falling apart?

Husband of troubled soul singer, Amy Winehouse, has been remanded in custody after appearing in Winehouse falling apart?on Friday, charged with beating up a bartender last June. Blake Fielder-Civil and another man, Michael Brown, were due to stand trial this month, but after Blake was arrested by police for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, the trial was delayed and bail denied until January 18.

Poor, troubled Amy. Battling with drugs, alcohol, fame, fortune, and now a Christmas without her hubby. People are starting to think she is losing the plot and heading for a breakdown. Only recently was the singer spotted with white powder remnants in her nostrils…putting her claims to be ‘clean’ out the window. Critics have even slated some of her recent performances. So is our girl going to fall apart on us?

Well I can’t say for sure, although I know I would have gone a bit loopy by now; legend Andrew Lloyd Webber (none other!) has stood up for the star, comparing her to likes of Ella Fitzgerald and other such artists. He believes Amy will rise above her personal troubles due to her amazing talent. Oh I do hope you are right Mr Webber.

Italian let down Jake Gyllenhael and Reese Witherspoon

Put yourself in the setting… You’re in Italy, the most romantic city in the world; you’re in the company of the lush Jake Gyllenhael. You take a walk around the Piazza di Spagna, visit the Trinita dei Monti, climb the Monte Mario hill, and have dinner at the Zodiaco café. Then the man gets down on one knee and proposes.

Swoon? Sounds good to me!

But not to the woman it actually happened to. Actress Reese Witherspoon claims the proposal came too soon after her divorce from Ryan was finalised. Poor Jake. But we have been told not to lose hope. One source close to Reece said, “They are madly in love. They really are the perfect couple. Reese wants to take things very slowly because of her two young children. She doesn’t want anything to upset or disrupt them. It took her a while to introduce them to Jake - she didn’t want them to know they were a couple until they were definitely serious about each other.”

Hollywood on strike

Writers Guild of America organized a march out on the streets, right before Thanksgiving. Their strike, caused by the lack of communication and understanding between script writer and film producers, produced major damages for the well being of small and big motion pictures and TV shows. Even big budget films like Da Vinci Code came to a halt because of script writers.
Celebrities like Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy and singer Alicia Keys support the strike. Alicia even opened the event singing her latest song outside, in the middle of all thousands of writes.
Misunderstandings between writers and producers are of course related to money. Producers make money anyway doing not so much creative work, and they just decided to take more money from DVD and Internet sales, decision witch make writers very angry and caused the whole strike.

Paparazzi Hell

Yes, I know. More about the paparazzi. But they are making our stars do some seriously strange stuff. Like this pic of Britney, snapped in her car with her face covered with a jumper. All I can say is; I hope she had the handbrake on and remembered to unmask before putting feet to pedals!

Honestly. This week so far the paps have driven Nicole Kidman to fear and despair, George Clooney to rant and rave (swoon!) and now our Britney Spears throwing winter woollies over her head to cover up. It’s not even a nice jumper!

Earlier this year the paparazzi caused Ms Spears to run a red light whilst driving around with her children, giving their father cause to prevent her from driving them around at all. Now a spokesman on her behalf states she’s stepping up her security; “Recent aggressive actions by individuals who have followed (Britney) and blocked her access, with and without the children, have resulted in her decision to take certain security measures, which she hopes will only be necessary temporarily, for the protection of the children.”

Snappers, lay off our star folk will you!!! It’s getting a bit tedious now…

Celebrity Matrimony - Jennifer Aniston and Woody Harrelson

Looks like another celeb wedding has gone without a “hitch” (excuse the pun), whilst the paparazzi are none the wiser. Jennifer Aniston and Woody Harrelson were snapped in full wedding parade this week on the banks of Willamette River in Portland. But since when was Ms Aniston getting hitched? Did we even know she was dating Woody?

Nobody panic! It all comes to light when the guest list includes friends, family, producers, co stars and full camera crew! The two were in full faux wedding charade for their new upcoming romantic comedy, “Management”; due for release in Sept 2008.

In the film Aniston plays a traveling sales woman, selling cheap art to small motels. When she has a fling with an underachieving assistant manager, played by Steve Zahn, he winds up following her all over the US.

Thank goodness for that! Someone ought to have a word with wardrobe about that outfit choice Jen…

Kanye Backs Out of Victoria’s Secret

Rather than perform for and with a bevy of feathered lingerie models, Kanye West opted to not go on with the show. And it’s quite understandable.

ET reported that the rapper, whose mother just died last week, pulled out of a scheduled appearance at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. The show taped in Hollywood on Thursday and will air on December 4. Kanye’s part of the show was reportedly picked up by the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am.

Considering how close Kanye was to his mother, let’s all just respect his wishes to mourn instead of putting on a smile for the world.

George Wants His Sexy Title Back

Matt Damon was voted Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine this year and his friends can’t stop poking fun at him for the title. Yesterday, his best bud Ben Affleck took a swing at him and now former Sexiest Man Alive, George Clooney jokes that he is ready to take over once again if Matt slips at the job. They both look old and unsexy, good looking maybe but definitely not sexy. Also it would be better to see some flesh, as you can’t just base someone as being “sexiest man alive” by how sexy their face is ; ) and the photo of George on the right is not sexy at all - and he doesn’t look mature with that crown on his head either. Who voted for this? Matt is better than him, but neither is great in my opinion. Think Chad Michael Murray is sexier: )

T.I. Says

Rapper T.I. has made his first public comment since he was arrested on weapons charges. And with utmost sincerity, and even certainty, he believes that he’s going to get off clean.

Streetcred.com posted a video in which T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., said that we shouldn’t believe everything that we’ve heard in the news. He also thanked his fans, lawyers and the judge in the case for letting him be under house arrest instead of in jail.

T.I. says “I look forward to being exonerated on all charges. And I say that with the utmost sincerity.” Whatever you say.

Pitt and Jolie Buy Island

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie want to make their adopted daughter as comfortable as possible. So what do they do? They buy a man-made ISLAND in the shape of Ethiopia off the coast of Dubai. Umm…they are purchasing the Island to make people aware of environmental issues? Construction of “The World” has come at the expense of the environment causing many concerns. It’s like smoking to bring light to the negatives of smoking. What dumbasses. Now let’s hope they pack up their shit and leave already! Or is this another place they will have bought and won’t ever use (like the New Orleans house). I’m so sick of these two telling ANYONE how to live a better life! So tired of actors that think they’re politicians and politicians who think they’re environmentalists! Concentrate on enrolling themselves in acting classes, worry about their poor children who will be unstable from a “stability free” upbringing, and worry about how much they contribute to polluting the environment with their JET that they fly all over the world

Aubry Doesn’t Want To Move To LA

Halle Berry was reportedly very disappointed when she learned that her boyfriend and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry wants to stay in New York after the birth of their child. Berry who is 5 months pregnant was planning on raising her newborn child in Los Angeles but Aubry wants to stay in NYC to further his modeling career. Firstly I do not think that any of the mags and sites think that they would like to leave the celebrities alone for a day, as soon as there is a sniff of things happening, these guys will blow it out of proportion and sum it up as though things are on the brink of breaking up. It’s her and Gabriel’s matter as to how they want to manage their lives, what ever decision they take is a personal one and not a public matter to be debated. He loves her and that’s why the two are together. So requests to these paps is that shut the F*** up and try and do a decent job with what there is to reporting. Stop screwing up on other’s lives for the sake of your job.

Britney in Deep

When it comes to all things Britney Spears, I don’t know what to believe anymore. It’s just because she’s so unbelievable if you look at what she does. So when a source connected to her says a drug test came back positive but that Britney actually passed because it was a misreading, I’d rather just wait for Mark Vincent Kaplan to do his job.

KFed’s lawyer has also expressed that he will subpoena a story ran by TMZ about the pop wreck running a red light with the kids in the back seat. He wants the tape of the incident for an unscheduled court appearance on Wednesday.

Kaplan has already asked the judge to prohibit Brit from driving with the kids in the car and a ruling was set to go down on November 26. But recent incidents may just accelerate it and even jeopardize her visitation.

Tom Cruise, Fred Claus Denied

When is a Tom Cruise movie not a Tom Cruise movie? When it doesn’t open at number one, for one thing. Lions for Lambs, the Iraq War-inspired drama starring Cruise as a hawkish senator, Meryl Streep as his obsequious media mouthpiece and Robert Redford as the last principled man, couldn’t solve the weekend box office, taking in just $6.7 million, per estimates. Fred Claus, the new Vince Vaughn holiday comedy, had its own problems, failing to crack the $20 million mark. I resent that crack aimed at anyone who is older than the current crop of celebrity brats. Could it be that we, the “over 35″ crowd, don’t “rush out to movie premiers” because we have better, more important, things to do? Perhaps we have responsibilities that we take seriously enough that we don’t just drop everything and rush off to the movies. Not everyone sees life as one frivolous movie premier after another. That certainly doesn’t mean we’re old and decrepit and easily broken! Perhaps when you grow up and discover how many people of your age still manage to have meaningful lives without movie premiers, you’ll realize just how shallow your remark was.

Jack Nicholson Upset At Losing Joker Role

Jack Nicholson is the finest actor alive. I can honestly say as a DeNiro, Pacino, Hoffman and Walken fan, Jack is something more sublime. His on-screen persona flirts with the line of reality most actors know not to cross. Even if he is getting older, meaner, and indifferent to the glances of young women in restaurants, it is only proper if not custom that he should be asked to reprise a role that largely contributed to the Academy Award-winning Best Picture statuette in 1990, as well as to the canon of corrosive, character acting. I don’t expect Heath’s performance to trump old Jack’s “I’m glad your dead” scene when he fries an ambivalent business associate to death with a hand buzzer. I do expect, however, for Heath to do what he knows how to: act. And because he can actually do that, I look forward to the success of the film.

Amy Can Go to the US

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse was denied entry to the US after her drug arrest in Norway in October. But according to Britain’s Mirror newspaper, that is no longer the case.

Amy was spotted earlier in the week at the US Embassy in London. She was said to be applying for a visa. After she had her interview, it seems that the US better be prepared to get the bee-hived Wino in their sights as she has been granted a visa to allow her to work in the country. It’s also being reported that she has already made it in the US to work on a new album.

However, she would have to fly back to support her husband Blake who has to appear in court on an assault charge on Monday.

Vince Vaughn Credits Aniston for His Success

You’re all full of shit. They were genuinely together. The loonies get a little crazy with thinking everyone of her relationships are for PR purposes. She was on the rebound, they connected while they were filming, they broke up b/c he probably couldn’t handle all the attention he got from being with her, plus she was still nursing wounds from the knife in her back. But the bottom line is they are very much friends and even after they broke up they continue to hang out. So much for the “act”. You people love to bash Jen b/c you’re so livid that Angelina is known as the home wrecking slut and in your delusion you feel the need to defend your idol! p.s. yeah ok, brad spiked Jen into the limelight just like he’s done to angie. Please. Both Jen and Angie were well known well before bad actor Pitt came along. SO when Vince is saying that he benefited from the relationship he is being completely true to himself and to the world.
