It looks like there is another setback for Madonna. There had already been plenty of controversy surrounding the star regarding her adoption of a South African boy. The court appointed official that had been assigned to the case was denied permission to travel to Britain. It was reported that Minister of Women and Child Development had prevented him from making the trip. The point of the trip was to do an assessment on Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie. The Minister has said only that he felt that Kilembe, the man who was to assess the couple, had a personal investment in the situation and that someone else would be sent. Custody had been given to Madonna back in October but there has been no formal adoption yet. Of course it’s important to take care of needy children but in the case of Hollywood adoptions it really seems like it’s just a trend. They all want to outdo each other and Angelina has a clear lead when it comes to adopting foreign children. Should Madonna be able to do the same? I guess that depends on the true reasoning behind her decision.
