Memorabilia from the Jackson family pop dynasty has fetched about $500,000 on the first day of a two-day auction in Las Vegas. Among the items sold was a black military style coat belonging to Michael Jackson which sold for $24,000. Jackson’s MTV Music award for the song We Are The World fetched $16000. The Guernsey’s Auction House sale at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino had over 1100 items to offer. It billed the two day auction as he biggest ever sale of Jackson family memorabilia, including clothes, music sheets and gold disc awards belonging to Michael, Janet, Jermaine, Tito and La Toya. I do not know the exact cause of the sale, but if it is for charity then the intentions are great and if it is just to bail out the family out of financial troubles then these situations will keeping arriving in the lives of the Jackson family until and unless the get their act together.
