Madonna is one of the celebrities that will headline this summer’s “Live Earth” concerts. Because of this event the pop singer decided to launch a new digital song composed especially for this event.

Just in case you do not know, the concert is a global one and will take place on the 7th of July with the purpose of raising attentiveness about climate issues. For this event Pharrell Williams joined Madonna in producing the new single “Hey You”. You would normally expect a song about saving Earth but it will not be related to the topic at hand. This track will have lyrics that will talk about helping each other and love. It seems it will be a ballad.

Madonna will perform in London at the Wembley Stadium while other shows will take place in Shanghai, Tokyo, East Rutherford, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro Istanbul and Hamburg. If you want to help out the cause you should go to MSN.com where you can download the single for free if you are among the first million people to do so. Microsoft will donate 25 for each download the song generates to the Alliance for Climate Protection. It looks like this company is not only interested in bringing Linux down.
