Paris Hilton has been banned from the Wynn and Encore hotels following her arrest in Las Vegas for cocaine possession but the heiress isn’t banned from her namesake hotel, The Hilton. The hotel spokesman said “She has been a guest here many, many times and we would always welcome her back.” For the wannabe actress/singer’s sake, I hope she’s smart enough to stay away from Sin City at this point. The spokesman added “The history between Paris and this property is long, indeed. We here at the Hilton certainly wish Paris the best and hope that she gets through any and all of her difficult times.” Of course she’s welcome there and they wish her the best, those people work for her family. They’re obligated to like her.

As obnoxious as Taylor Momsen can be, I can’t really deny how much I really like the music that she makes with her band The Pretty Reckless. The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actress turned rock singer recently made an awesome mash-up of ‘Islands’ by The xx and ‘Love the Way You Lie’ by Eminem and Rihanna during one of their gigs. I wonder if Taylor sang the hip hop song because of the things she said about the Barbadian babe being such a wannabe. Whatever the reason may be for covering the song, I can’t help but say I like Taylor’s rendition.

Katy Perry could soon own a television show in the UK, moderated by her. The singer is currently in negotiations with representatives of the ITV2 television station. “Katy is a target for us at this moment. She is very talented and a person who makes her point. We are currently discussing with her team for more ideas of shows that could bear her name,” said Zai Bennett, director of the television station. The show will not be a type reality show but rather an “observational documentary”. Katy Perry has released a new album last month, “Teenage Dream”.

The comedian’s full-length album won’t be released until the end of August but you can go to the Third Man Records website to get a copy of Conan’s “improvised spoken word performance” called ‘And They Call Me Mad’. The record is the first of hopefully many albums in a series of spoken word records released by the label, which is run by White Stripes lead singer Jack White.

Brad Pitt has harsh words for those responsible for the Gulf Coast oil spill saying he was against the death penalty before the crisis but he is now “willing to look at it again”.

The Hollywood actor makes his inflammatory comments in a Spike Lee documentary, which is to be aired on HBO in the US on Monday.

If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise is the director’s sequel to his 2006 film about Hurricane Katrina, When the Levees Broke.

Lee’s new film features Pitt whose Make It Right project has spearheaded efforts to build 150 affordable and sustainable homes in New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward, which was heavily hit by the 2005 natural disaster.

Asked about those responsible for the BP oil spill, which has hit the region, the father-of-six says: “I was never for the death penalty before. I am willing to look at it again.”

Lee’s film was supposed to end on a positive note with the New Orleans Saints’ Super Bowl victory.

But when the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster happened in April, the 53-year-old director extended filming to include that story.

Lindsay Lohan’s best friend Allison Melnick has made the surprising admission she hasn’t spoken to the troubled star since her release from prison.

Allison was asked if she had spoken to Lohan on her arrival in Sydney with Nicky Hilton.

She said: “I haven’t. But I wish her all the best.”

Asked if she knows how Lohan is coping in rehab, she added: “I don’t, at least, she’s doing great.”

Hilton is in Australia to promote local clothing label Charlie Brown.

She and Melnick are expected to stay in Australia until Friday.

Lohan was released from jail on August 2 after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence for breaching her probation.

Sylvester Stallone may be known as the hard man of action films, but the Oscar-winner has revealed he started life named after a hairbrush.

The 64-year-old has admitted that for the first few months of his life he was called Binky.

The actor says his mother Jackie and father Frank chose the name after spying something on a dressing table.

“There was this thing called a Binky brush which was a hairbrush and I guess my parents ran out of names at the time,” Stallone said.

“I was called Binky until they could come up with a cool one like Sylvester,” the Express reports him saying.
